Adapting to Change

So far this year has felt like we are trying to build a house on quicksand. Things seem to change on a daily basis and at times it has felt quite overwhelming. Our recent buzz of excitement when we thought we would be touring in July, was quickly diminished with Victoria’s COVID19 numbers spiking recently. Our planned July tours have had to be pushed back to August and now September.

In light of these constantly changing circumstances, it has become apparent that many of our partner businesses, accommodation venues, attractions and meal venues are incurring additional costs in the running of their businesses, due to new cleaning processes, hygiene procedures, compliance procedures, strict social distancing and reduced numbers of customers able to attend their venues, which are being passed on to us.

With this in mind, we here at O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours, have also had to re-evaluate our pricing structure keeping in mind that all of the above circumstances apply to our business also. You may see some previously advertised prices being reviewed and changed as we go forward in these very un-certain times. This is not something we do lightly, but it is necessary for the ongoing future of O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours and to enable us to continue to provide you with a wonderful touring experience.

At the time these prices were originally provided, to the best of our knowledge they were true and correct and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We would also like to say a very big thank you for your past patronage and your ongoing support into the future.

Our goal has always been to provide an amazing tour experience that will stay with you for many years to come. We look forward to whisking you away very soon, to some beautiful destinations so you can create some more wonderful memories of your times with O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours.

COVID Update

Here at O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours even when we are not touring, we are always thinking about you our customers and how we can enhance what you tell us, is already a fantastic touring experience.

With this in mind, we have decided to increase the amount of already spacious leg room, with the removal of a few rows of seats and then re-spacing the rest of the rows. This will almost double the amount of legroom you were already enjoying. We are also making other enhancements to our décor for increased passenger comfort. Most importantly for the health and wellbeing of our passengers going into the future, we have new contactless hand sanitizer dispensers installed at the coach entry points and a whole new cleaning and sanitizing program in place.

We are also a Quality Tourism COVID Clean practicing business, accredited through our Quality Tourism framework. The comfort, wellbeing and safety of our passengers has always been our number one priority here at O’Shannessy’s and we know these changes will only improve on our already high standard.

As always we are looking forward to getting out there touring and taking you on some fantastic journeys around our beautiful country in superb luxury.

A Challenging beginning to 2020

Myself & Berny and the team would like to start by saying a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts, to you, our incredibly loyal and supportive customer base. Your faith in us as a business in this very trying time is incredibly humbling and heartwarming.

We would like to share with you what is happening right now and our tour plans for SPRING 2020 and for a BUMPER 2021!!!
We recently took the very difficult but necessary step of cancelling all of our tours scheduled to depart before September 1st 2020. This decision was not made lightly, but Myself, Berny and our wonderful staff, know this is the right thing to do to protect the health and wellbeing of our customers, our crews and our tour partners. We have a moral and ethical obligation to our wonderful travelling companions – our customers – particularly our more senior travelers, to do everything within our power to help ensure the spread and impact of Coronavirus is kept to a minimum.

Financially this is an extremely tough blow, not just to our business, but to the many touring partner businesses we work closely with, who also rely on us to provide ongoing work for them and their business and in turn their own employees. WE WILL be here for the long haul and will come out the other side bigger, stronger and better!
What’s next???

We honestly believe the worst of this will be behind us by Spring and we anticipate resuming our tour program at that time. A number of tours have simply been re-scheduled for later in the year and not cancelled. So you haven’t missed out and can re-book for later this year or next year. We will be here to give you all something to look forward to and to provide some light at the end of the tunnel.

The whole team is looking forward to hearing from you and we are taking bookings right now for our tours leaving after August! With your continued support and patronage the O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours family will continue to take you on amazing adventures all around this beautiful country and beyond.
