We enjoy breakfast before we transfer to our Spirit cruise boat to commence the exciting days ahead exploring the “great lakes”. Today we travel on the waters of Wallis Lake and both the Coolongolook and Wallamba rivers. We enjoy a catered picnic/barbecue at Cooma Park, then we cruise through the canal developments of Foster Keys before arriving at Pacific Palms later in the afternoon. At the local club we can enjoy a drink as we witness our boat being taken out of the waters of Lake Wallis and being readied for the short transfer to Myall Lake. Our coach will collect us from Pacific Palms and we transfer to Bulahdelah – our home for the next two nights.

OVERNIGHT:  Bulahdelah Motor Lodge, BULAHDELAH

DAY 3: Sunday 1st March, 2020

This morning after breakfast we transfer back to the northern shores of Lake Myall where our boat and crew will be waiting to take us on another day of exploring this wonderful area. We cross the Myall Lake before entering Boolambayte Lake. At Bombah Point we enjoy lunch at the NRMA Myall Shores Resort, a very picturesque place and a ferry crossing point . After lunch we cruise the waters of the Bombah Broadwater before entering the beautiful Myall River. Travelling over 20 kms upstream we arrive at Bulahdelah and it is only a short transfer (or walk through the town if you wish!) to our accommodation.

DAY 4: Monday 2nd March, 2020
MYALL LAKES

Breakfast and the very short transfer back to our vessel where we’ll return cruise down the Myall River and to Nerong. We pass over the southern waters of the Bombah Broadwater before once again entering the lower section of the Myall River. Throughout these days we have been surrounded by the beautiful Myall Lakes National Park. We enjoy a picnic lunch along the way and pass by Brambles Green, Cherry Tree, Engels Reach and Pipers Creek. Mid afternoon the river suddenly opens  up into the attractive Swan Bay and the holiday resort of Tea Gardens along with the sister town – Hawks Head. We berth near our resort in Tea Gardens. For dinner tonight we re board the boat and cruise a short distance to our restaurant on the Myall River. A great location!

OVERNIGHT:  Tea Gardens Country Club Motel, TEA GARDENS

DAY 5: Tuesday 3rd March, 2020
MYALL LAKES

We board our vessel, and proceed to our restaurant for breakfast. Tea Gardens is a beautiful town and a delight to visit. Leaving our restaurant we travel under the “Singing Bridge” - and it is not long before the Myall River opens into the magnificent Port Stephens. “Spectacular” is possibly the only way to describe this area. Cruising over the waters we pass close by the popular holiday resort of Nelson Bay and then around Soldiers Point to Lemon Tree Passage. A special lunch at a local waterside restaurant is just one of the many highlights today. After lunch we enter the Karuah River with it's many oyster farms. It is not well known but this area is the largest farming area for the Sydney Rock Oyster. Arrive in Karuah mid afternoon, and enjoy dinner at the RSL Club.

HAWKESBURY CRUISE

WISEMANS FERRY TO BATEMANS BAY

We travel past Wollongong to Kiama, where we visit the famous “Blowhole” which can spurt water up to 60 metres high when there is a good swell running - a great opportunity for a group photograph! From here, we follow the Princes Highway to Berry where we break for some free time to stretch our legs, explore the shops and purchase lunch (there are a couple of great bakeries here!!). Later this afternoon, we arrive in Batemans Bay.

Lunch at own expense and arrangement
OVERNIGHT:  Sunseeker Motor Inn, BATEMANS BAY

DAY 10: Sunday 8th March, 2020
BATEMANS BAY TO LAKES ENTRANCE

This morning we travel through Narooma, Bega, and Eden to Boydtown. Benjamin Boyd, the son of a London Banker established Boydtown at Twofold Bay in the mid 1800’s as his headquarters from where he ran his whaling and grazing exploits. Boyd had grandiose ideas of developing Boydtown to a stage not only to rival nearby Eden but Sydney itself. His grand plans never eventuated and the only buildings erected were Boyd’s Church, the Lookout Tower and the Seahorse Inn – our lunch venue today!  After lunch, we can take a stroll around the estate as the Inn is set amidst sprawling lawns and lush gardens. Crossing the border back into Victoria we pass through Genoa and Cann River to Lakes Entrance for our final night on tour.

OVERNIGHT:  Belleview on the Lakes, LAKES ENTRANCE

DAY 11: Monday 9th March, 2020
LAKES ENTRANCE TO MELBOURNE

We have a leisurely breakfast this morning and if anyone would like to stretch their legs, a stroll along the promenade will reveal some unique wooden sculptures. A local wood carver has taken the stumps of trees and carved them into images of Australia at War. There are famous images from World War I including Simpson and his donkey and a nursing sister caring for wounded soldiers. We are now on our way home, stopping at the “Port of Sale” for lunch at the RSL Club. We now travel past Traralgon and Morwell, stopping for a break along the way. Later this afternoon, we arrive back in Melbourne – where our chauffeurs will transfer us to our doors to complete a great holiday.
