SILO ART TRAIL
Today is all about the stunning full-size images of the Silo Art Trail with our morning starting in Rupanyup. As a side project of the Silo Art Trail, Georgia Goodie painted two murals here, each one depicting fire fighters. Although not strictly silos we can still appreciate the attention to detail and skill involved. The Sheep Hills Silo painted by Melbourne-based artist Adnate, is an indigenous-themed mural representing the passing of knowledge from generation to generation. In Brim, the colourful characters of Guido van Helten’s art depict an anonymous, multi-generational quartet of female and male farmers. Moving along, in Rosebery we see the works of Kaff-eine where she depicts themes that embody the region’s past, present and future. We will stop in Hopetoun, before heading to the Patchewollock mural by Brisbane artist, Fintan Magee, which depicts a rugged, lanky local who exemplified the no-nonsense, hardworking spirit of the region. Next, we see captured true essence of Lascelles, where Melbourne-based artist, Rone was inspired by those deeply connected to the town. This is our final masterpiece for the day as we now make our way to Swan Hill for the evening.
OVERNIGHT: Comfort Inn Campbell Motor Inn, SWAN HILL

The charming town of Boort is our first stop, where we’ll view the works of the late

Later we head to Rochester, where we have a look the brightly painted silo of a Squirrel Glider and an Azure Kingfisher. Then heading slightly out of our way, we take the opportunity to see the latest addition to the Silo Art collection in Colbinabbin. Artist Tim Bowtell’s artwork features across six silos and depicts five different scenes from varying times through the town from the early 1900s to the 1980s. Then it’s off to Shepparton, where we’ll stay for the next two nights.

SHEPPARTON TO MELBOURNE
Today marks the last day of the tour, but don’t worry there is still plenty to see. This morning we loop around as we head to Tungamah to see dancing Brolgas and a Kookaburra. Making our way down, in St James, we will see the large mural of Sir George Coles, the founder of Coles Supermarkets. Then in Devenish, we’ll be amazed at Cam Scale’s artwork of a First World War nurse and a modern-day combat medic. Not far away is Goorambat. Here at the Uniting Church we see the stunning depiction of "Sophia" the female aspect of the Holy Spirit. We’ll also make a stop the Barking Owl Silo, which is critically endangered. In Benalla now, we’ll take a drive to see some of the Street art – artists from around the world were brought together to paint murals on bare walls, some over three stories high. We’ll enjoy lunch before making our way home where our chauffeur service will drop us to our very door – all part of the great O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours service!
