Welcome to our tour to the heart of regional New South Wales, where the town of Parkes transforms into a vibrant celebration of the life, music and legacy of the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley. Whether you're a lifelong Elvis fan or simply looking forward to the atmosphere, entertainment and camaraderie, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Throughout the tour we'll experience live performances, colourful street parades, tribute artists, classic cars, dancing and the infectious energy that has made this festival one of Australia's most popular annual events. Along the way we'll also enjoy the hospitality, scenery and country charm that make regional Australia so special.

As a thank you for travelling with O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours, you will automatically receive a saving on the total tour price for your second and subsequent tours.


O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours will match single travellers who wish to twin share with another single traveller of the same gender.

However, if this is not possible, in most cases you shall be provided with single acccommodation at the twin share fare

(no additional cost).


If you are willing to twin share but are a smoker, have a CPAP machine or snore, you will need to pay a single supplement for a sole use room.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is not compulsory, however the Australian Government (see www.smarttraveller.gov.au) recommends all travellers no matter where you are going, obtain comprehensive travel insurance from a reputable provider at the time the balance of the tour is to be paid. It may enable you to claim back the cost of your tour if you are unable to travel or must cancel at late notice.

  • DAY 1: Thursday 7th January, 2027

    MELBOURNE TO WAGGA WAGGA


    Welcome to our tour to join in the festivities at the annual Parkes Elvis Festival. With chauffeured pickup from home, we are transferred to meet our O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours coach and crew. We stop enroute for our morning break before continuing to Benalla for lunch. This afternoon, we continue to Wagga Wagga for our first overnight stay.

  • DAY 2: Friday 8th January, 2027

    WAGGA WAGGA TO ORANGE


    This morning, we travel to Bethungra to visit the Olde School T-House, a former schoolhouse that has been thoughtfully restored into a charming tourist attraction. One of the highlights is the Memorabilia Room, which features items from the original school along with other historical pieces from the local area. During our visit, we spend time browsing memorabilia, local produce and hand-crafted gifts, as well as enjoy morning tea. In Young, we stop at Allambie Orchard, where we find it to be a lovely place for lunch. This afternoon we arrive in Orange and settle into our hotel for the next three nights.

  • DAY 3: Saturday 9th January, 2027

    THE ELVIS FESTIVAL*


    Excitement fills the air as we spend the day in Parkes celebrating Elvis — or at least a few convincing lookalikes! We have an early start today to arrive in Parkes for the annual Street Parade, where Elvis-themed floats, vintage and classic cars and lively marching bands make their way along Festival Boulevard. Enjoy the day exploring the festival atmosphere. The Cooke Park Main Stage will host free music and entertainment, including fun competitions such as Miss Priscilla, the Elvis Look-A-Like contest and the Cars of the Era Show, showcasing automobiles from the time when Elvis ruled the airwaves. At the designated time, meet the coach and return to Orange.

  • DAY 4: Sunday 10th January, 2027

    PARKES AND THE KING OF THE CASTLE


    This morning, we return to Parkes to enjoy the wonderful *Gospel Concert, which features uplifting performances of Elvis Presley’s beloved gospel songs. We’ll find it to be a heartfelt and uplifting experience that celebrates the spiritual side of the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Afterwards we will get to know more about the area, starting with a guided tour of Parkes with a local guide. This afternoon we visit the Henry Parkes Centre, home to the King’s Castle Elvis Exhibit. This interactive display brings to life some of the highs and lows that Elvis experienced throughout his life and career. Afterwards, we meet back together for our return to Orange for our evening meal.

  • DAY 5: Monday 11th January, 2027

    ORANGE TO ALBURY


    This morning we leave Elvis behind and begin our journey home. Our first stop is Cowra, where we take in the local sights such as the Garrison Gates, the original entry to the POW Camp. After our morning break here, we retrace our steps past Young and on to Gundagai, where we stop for lunch. It’s now time to sit back and relax as we continue to Albury for our final night on tour.

  • DAY 6: Tuesday 12th January, 2027

    ALBURY TO MELBOURNE


    Today, we embark on the homeward journey. Our route leads us via Moyhu to the charming town of Whitfield, nestled in the King River Valley, a region renowned for its dairy and tobacco cultivation against the backdrop of high-country vistas. Amongst the scenery, we pause for our morning break. We continue to Mansfield, a town steeped in colourful history, woven with tales of squatters, selectors, bushrangers and gold miners. Set against a backdrop of magnificent scenery and embraced by a legacy of hospitality, Mansfield invites us to explore its storied streets before enjoying lunch. This afternoon, we return to Melbourne. As always, our chauffeurs will be waiting to take us straight to our very door – a delightful way to finish our time away and all part of the great O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours service!

Victorian passengers from Greater Melbourne, Bendigo, Torquay, Ballarat, Geelong, the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, Phillip Island and selected areas of Gippsland will be picked up from home in a private chauffeured vehicle by one of our professional drivers.

For Victorian passengers not within this pick up zone, or our interstate passengers a quote can be provided for home pickup in extended areas.

At the end of your tour, you will be safely returned home with memories of a sensational tour.

Luxury Touring Coaches

Our full size, 3 axle luxury coaches have only 32-36 passenger seats allowing you even more personal space and extra leg room. Our coaches are fitted with comfortable reclining seats with aisle arm rests, foot rests, seat belts, panoramic windows with blinds, refrigerator for passenger use, restroom, climate control air conditioning and Road Cam monitors which display the road ahead in real time. Each coach has a second door for easier entry and exit and touchless hand sanitizer dispensers at each entry to help keep everyone safe. Our coaches have full air suspension delivering a smooth and

Receipt of payment of funds will be taken as acceptance of O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours conditions of travel for this tour.

Prices include GST and all taxes.


Deposit is fully refundable until 46 days prior to departure date.

Balance due on invoice.


Cancellation within 45 days of tour departure date: No refund

Cancellation on or after tour departure date: No refund


If a tour is cancelled for any reason by O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours before the departure date, all passengers will be offered the option of transferring to another tour of their choice, hold the funds in trust for a future tour or a full refund. There is no time limit as to when this must be used.
