The MV Yasawa Princess II is new to the fleet in 2026 and will be your home away from home throughout your cruise—except each morning, whereby you'll wake up in a different stunning location. With 75 years of experience cruising Fiji’s islands, we know the best spots to explore, and who better to show you these idyllic islands than the Fijian crew themselves? The all-Fijian team, with a high crew-to-guest ratio, ensures you'll receive attentive, personalized service. WEATHER

May-June is one of the best times to visit the Yasawa Islands. It's the dry season, with warm days, lower humidity and plenty of sunshine.

Expect daytime temperatures around 26–29°C, nights around 20–23°C, sea temperatures of 25–27°C.

O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours will match single travellers who wish to twin share with another single traveller of the same gender.

However, if this is not possible, you will need to pay the Single Room Supplement.


If you are willing to twin share but are a smoker, have a CPAP machine or snore, you will need to pay a single supplement for a sole use room.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is not compulsory, however the Australian Government (see www.smarttraveller.gov.au) recommends all travellers no matter where you are going, obtain comprehensive travel insurance from a reputable provider at the time the balance of the tour is to be paid. It may enable you to claim back the cost of your tour if you are unable to travel or must cancel at late notice.

  • DAY 1: Thursday 27th May, 2027

    MELBOURNE TO NADI, FIJI


    Welcome to our fabulous holiday to beautiful Fiji. With chauffeured pickup from home, we

    transfer to Melbourne International Airport where we meet our Tour Managers and fellow

    travellers, ready to board our direct flight to Nadi, Fiji. On arrival, we are welcomed and

    transferred to our overnight accommodation. We’ll get to know each other over a light

    supper at the hotel before heading to bed.

  • DAY 2: Friday 28th May, 2027

    NADI SIGHTS AND SAIL TO MODRIKI ISLAND


    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we check out and spend the morning exploring Nadi township. First we visit a local market where you can see how the locals shop. Then we visit a temple and also the beautiful Garden of the Sleeping Giant, to view some of the 2,000+ orchids, plus many native plants, all set in a tranquil setting. This afternoon, we drive to Port Denarau in time to board Blue Lagoon Cruise ship M.V. Yasawa Princess II, heading for the outer Mamanuca Islands. The first overnight anchorage is the secluded Modriki Island, the location for the Tom Hanks movie, Cast Away. After a quick swim or walk at the beach, enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and canapes as you watch the sunset on the Sky Deck. The a-la-carte Captain’s Welcome Dinner is followed by entertainment from the talented singing and guitar-playing crew.

  • DAY 3: Saturday 29th May, 2027

    SOSO BAY


    This morning, weather permitting, there is an opportunity to swim with reef sharks at an

    ocean reef enroute to our next destination. After lunch, see what island village life is like

    when we visit the chiefly village of Soso followed by afternoon tea on the beach. This

    evening, we’ll feast on a traditional Indian Thali buffet dinner, followed by an extravaganza of Bollywood dancing movies.

  • DAY 4: Sunday 30th May, 2027

    NAUKACUVU ISLAND


    Sunday is a day of rest in Fiji. After breakfast attend a village church service, then enjoy lunch and watch the view as we cruise southward. Head to shore this afternoon for some beach time. Tonight’s dinner is a South Pacific themed buffet and after dinner, get to know your fellow cruise passengers and team up for Fiji style bingo in the Lounge Bar.

  • DAY 5: Monday 31st May, 2027

    SACRED ISLANDS AND YALOBI BAY


    This morning the vessel will anchor at the stunning Sacred Islands, where you’ll feel as

    though your lost in paradise. The backdrop of the neighboring Waya Lailai volcanic

    formations is breathtaking. Enjoy the morning on the beach with your packed picnic lunch, swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. In the afternoon, we part from the Sacred Islands bound for our overnight anchorage in Yalobi Bay. Join the chef this afternoon to learn how to make the Roti in Lolo dish. Watch the sunset and enjoy tonight’s a-la-carte Captains Dinner. After dinner, get ready for our Song Facts quiz night.

  • DAY 6: Tuesday 1st June, 2027

    BLUE LAGOON, NANUYA LAILAI ISLAND


    Our destination today is the famed Blue Lagoon, a superb stretch of water ringed by pretty islands. Blue Lagoon Cruises has its very own private beach here at Nanuya Lailai Island where we anchor close to the beach and tie up to a coconut tree. Jump off the back into the turquoise waters or take a tender boat to shore where our full bar awaits you. You’ll dine on the beach all day today, including morning and afternoon tea, a buffet-style lunch, and a traditional Lovo meal cooked underground for tonight’s dinner under the stars. Tonight enjoy a special traditional Meke performance by local villagers.

  • DAY 7: Wednesday 2nd June, 2027

    SAWA-I-LAU


    This morning you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Blue Lagoon if you join our easy 40-minute guided walk to the other side of the island, to visit Lo’s Tea House. Afterward, take a final dip in the Blue Lagoon before we depart the area. Lunch is served on board as we cruise north for a guided visit to the amazing Sawa-I-Lau Caves. The village of Tamusua welcomes us for a Yagona (Kava) ceremony, a guided walk around their village and a village style seafood dinner.

  • DAY 8: Thursday 3rd June, 2027

    DRAWAQA ISLAND


    This morning there is an optional excursion to the local island school before cruising to

    Drawaqa Island. Here, we’ll be joined on board by a marine biologist for a presentation on the local marine life and the volunteer conservation work carried out in the area. You may have the opportunity to snorkel with the magnificent manta rays. Dinner this evening is a BBQ on the Sky Deck (weather permitting) served under the stars. Tonight, our last night together on board, we party Fiji style!

  • DAY 9: Friday 4th June, 2027

    PORT DENARAU AND NADI


    Enjoy breakfast onboard as we cruise back to Port Denarau. Back at port, we’ll be serenaded with the traditional Isa Lei farewell song by the crew as our exploration of Yasawa Islands comes to an end. Our bus transfer will take us to our accommodation in Nadi, allowing time to relax this afternoon at our hotel.

  • DAY 10: Saturday 5th June, 2027

    NADI TO MELBOURNE


    An early start this morning transferring to the Nadi International Airport for our direct flight

    home to Melbourne. After completing Customs and Immigration with our tour director, our chauffeurs will be waiting for us in the arrival lounge. We’re sure you will arrive home with a sense of well-being, appreciation and love for beautiful Fiji.

Complimentary Chauffeur Driven Transfers

Victorian passengers from Greater Melbourne, Bendigo, Torquay, Ballarat, Geelong, the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, Phillip Island and selected areas of Gippsland will be picked up and returned home in a private chauffeured vehicle by one of our professional drivers. For passengers not within this pick up zone, or our interstate passengers, a quote can be provided for home pickup in extended areas.


Flights

Economy International flights from Melbourne to Nadi, Fiji and return with Fiji Airlines. All fares include transfers and taxes. Please contact our office to enquire about upgrades to Business Class or Premium Economy, if available.
